Henry Earnest "Hank" Jewell,

Henry Ernest “Hank” Jewell Jr., 74, of Casa Grande died on Nov. 2, 2009 at Hospice Family Care.

Mr. Jewell was born on Dec. 9, 1934 in Bisbee and graduated from Bisbee High School and Arizona State University. He was a son of Iva (McCoy) and Henry E. Jewell Sr. He retired from the budget office of the Arizona Department of Economic Security in 1999. In his final days he endured much pain but nevertheless continued to be the kind person he was all his life.

Survivors include two sons, Roger Jewell of Casa Grande and Dennis Jewell of Imperial, Calif., as well as a grandson he raised, Christopher D. Jewell of Mesa; a sister, Gladys (Jewell) Gambill of Bisbee; and several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
