Henry W. "Skip" Brock, 51, of Casa Grande died on Dec. 2, 2014, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.
Mr. Brock was born on Sept. 15, 1963, in Casa Grande. He attended Casa Grande Union High School and was a member of the wrestling team, the rodeo club, the high school marching band and was very active in FFA. He joined the Marine Corps his senior year of high school, was selected as an active member of a black ops unit and was very proud to serve his country. He was a hardworking man and a highly skilled automotive mechanic manufacturing custom radiators. He was the owner/operator of Brock Unlocks. He married his sweetheart, Kathy A., on Dec. 27, 2011. They met as children and went to school together.
He loved his basset hounds, Opie and Otto, and earlier had another, Jackson, who was a wedding gift from his wife. He enjoyed body art and was known for his tattoo of his wife’s eyes on the back of his head. He also loved cage fighting and was a cage fighter himself, having been accepted to King of the Cage. His fighting entrance song was "Cocky" by Kid Rock. He was a huge fan of the Denver Broncos, always wearing Broncos gear and decorating his home with it. He loved his family and friends and was always there to lend a helping hand for anyone. He was very active in the recovery community, touching hundreds of lives and leaving a legacy in Casa Grande. His proudest accomplishment was living the last four years of his life clean and sober.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Tim and Eric Reitenbaugh of Casa Grande and Justin Brock of Abilene, Texas; three daughters, Faith Betchie and Jillian Brock of Abilene and Ashley Berbena of Casa Grande; his mother, Carolyn Seger of Pinetop-Lakeside; a sister, Jackie Bruderer of Show Low; and six grandchildren, with another expected. He was preceded in death by his father, Hank Brock.
The celebration of life will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at his home.
