Herbert Marvin Ganske

CASA GRANDE - Herbert Marvin Ganske, 90, of Casa Grande died on Oct. 24, 2019.

Mr. Ganske began as an ironworker in 1949 and was drafted into the Army in 1951. He proudly served his country during the Korean War, where he was wounded and received a Purple Heart Medal. After his honorable discharge he returned to being an ironworker, joining several union locals around the world and across the country.

In 1961 he was the raising gang foreman for the erection of the Space Needle in Seattle and continued as an active ironworker until his retirement in 1992.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Marie; three adult children, Drean Barley Ganske, Renae Ganske Cerizo, both of Hawaii, and Miles Ganske of Snohomish, Washington; two stepchildren, Rose Berger of Phoenix and Chuck Running of Wenatchee, Washington; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
