Mrs. Lumbreras was born on Nov. 3, 1930, in Gregory, Texas. She lived in the area for 50 years and was a migrant worker when she was younger. All her grandchildren, nephews and nieces were her special companions. She loved her domestic life, cooking and preparing food for her family. Survivors include seven daughters and sons, Sulema Celaya, Carolina L. Gil and Oralia L. Aguirre, all of Casa Grande, Jesse Lumbreras of Nampa, Idaho, Augustine Lumbreras Jr. of Caldwell, Idaho, Carlos Lumbreras of Ontario, Oregon, and Charolta Renteria of Phoenix; 27 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren. Seven siblings are deceased: Timotea Zavala, Luis, Pablo, Domingo and Marcelo Hernandez, Julia Cortez, Eulalia Martinez and Jovita Escamilla. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Augustine Lumbreras.
Visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 18, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Rosary recited at 9 and funeral Mass celebrated at 9:30. Burial in Mountain View Cemetery.
