Homer C. "Dave" Davenport, 91 of Casa Grande passed away May 5, 2020. Preceded in death by his parents Homer O. and Laverne Davenport, grandmother Pearl Davenport, brother George Rogers and sister Marie Rogers. Beloved husband of Dorothy Davenport of Casa Grande; devoted father of LaDonna Williams of Omaha, NE, RuthAnn Johnson of Missouri Valley Iowa, Timothy Patrick Davenport of Plattsmouth, NB, David William Davenport and Betty Ann Geir of Omaha NE. Mr. Davenport served 4 years in the US Navy during World War 11. He is then went on with a life devoted to helping others. He earned a degree in Criminal Justice and attended the FBI National Academy. He was the Chief of Police in LaVista NE for 25 years. On the job, Mr. Davenport studied Hypnotherapy to help victims of crime scenes remember details. He graduated from the American institute of hypnotherapy with a PhD in Clinical Hypnotherapy and later practiced hypnotherapy in Minnesota. Mr. Davenport, a.k.a Mr. Dave, had a passion for music, enjoyed working with wood, and found great delight hearing the laughter of the children that were present nearly every day in his later years. Mr. Dave was inspired by the guidance of angels which was reflected in his beautiful angel collection. Mr. Dave is now with the angels above. J.
