SACATON - Homer "Owen" Jackson Jr., 73, of Sacaton died on Oct. 25, 2016, in Chandler.
Mr. Jackson was born on Feb. 26, 1943, in Sacaton to Daisy and Homer Jackson Sr. He was a barber by trade in his earlier years. Later in life he worked in social services, helping the lives of many.
He loved his family dearly and took great pride in his grandsons. He loved music and was always wearing his headphones. He was a great cook, and everyone will miss his meatloaf.
He is survived by his companion of over 20 years, Esther Webb; three adult children, Camillus, Yvette and Daven Jackson; a sister, Lorraine Manuel; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Brandon Jackson; four brothers, Claude, Dewey, Elfrederick and Edmond Jackson; and two sisters, Phyllis Blackwater-Jackson and Eleanor Narcia.
The wake will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the District 3 Service Center. An all-night continuation will follow at the Jackson home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Mission in Sacaton. Burial will be in East Sacaton Cemetery.
