Hope Gastelum, 82, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013 at her residence. Hope loved her family and was often referred to as a true lady. She loved to read and listen to music and could often be heard humming to herself. One of her favorite singers was George Strait, and she attended many of his concerts. She loved traveling with her husband and children, and one of her
favorite spots was Laughlin, Nevada. She was a woman of strength and a beacon of light in anyone’s time of need. She was a strong person of faith and a woman with grace that touched many. She has now returned to the Lord and has been reunited with her husband.
She is survived by two sons, Fernando (Joyce) Gastelum of Casa Grande, and Robert (Susan) Gastelum of Coolidge; three daughters, Angelica (Dan) Gastelum of Mesa, Silvianna (Mike) Brown of Buckeye and Elvia (Walter) Lichter of Casa Grande; 17 grandchildren and 22 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Judge William “Bill” Gastelum, parents Crecencio and Juanita Garcia, brother Reymundo Garcia, sister Elvia Garcia and grandson, Clinton Gastelum.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, a rosary will be said at 10:00 a.m., Mass at 10:30 a.m. with Monsignor Mike Ekpenyona of ciating. Burial will be immediately following at Mt. View Cemetery.
