Horace Glen Chambers

July 14, 1916 — January 9, 2005

Mr Chambers was born in Winnsboro, Franklin County, TX. He was a son of Mary E and Adolphus Chambers. He servd in the Civilian Conservation Corps from 1935 to 1938 and moved to Eloy in 1941. He owned a self-help laundry from 1941 to 1945 and served int he Army at the end of WWII. He owned Chambers Department Store from 1946 to 2003, retiring from the store in 1974. He also owned and manged 41 houses and apartments. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, picnicking and cooking.
Burial was held at Eloy Memorial Park.
