ARIZONA CITY — Howard Cleveland "Wally" Wallace, 78, of Arizona City died on March 18, 2012, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
The memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande.
Mr. Wallace was born on Dec. 10, 1933, in Douglas County, Mo., and was a son of Charles and Ethel Wallace. He had a 23-year career in the Marine Corps and Air Force and retired as a master sergeant at Luke Air Force Base. He was a tank mechanic and aircraft mechanic and served in the Vietnam War from 1964 to 1966. He served in Korea from 1972 to 1973.
He received the Air Force Commendation Medal for his devotion and performance while in Korea and had many letters of commendation in the Air Force. He enjoyed motorcycles and anything mechanical.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 56 years, Evelyn F.; a son, Wally Duane Wallace of Tucson; three daughters, Pennie Wylie of Las Vegas, Nev., Tammie Limpede of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Kelli Wuerz of Glendale; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Clifton, Ownys and Wesley Wallace.
