Ilona Berryhill

Ilona Suzanne Berryhill, 73, of Casa Grande died on July 21, 2013, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Berryhill was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on June 28, 1940, and was a daughter of Bleeker F. DeLanneau and Helen Shomody. She was a nurse, working as head nurse of the Intensive Care Unit at Paradise Valley Hospital and as a home care nurse at El Sol Home Health Agency in Casa Grande. She enjoyed dancing and going to a casino on her birthday. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Jon H.; three sons, Robert “Bobby” and Keith Zimmerli of Phoenix and James Santangelo of Parker, Colo.; two daughters, Linda Mentzer of Phoenix and Ilona Cunningham of Cave Creek; two stepsons, John Berryhill of Smithfield, Utah, and Jeff Berryhill of Phoenix; a stepdaughter, Jana MacLellan of Glendale; a sister, Laurie Kinkie of Minnesota; 24 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

No service is planned.
