Irene Armenta

CASA GRANDE - Irene Armenta, 58, of Casa Grande died on Aug. 31, 2016, at Banner-University Medical Center Tucson.

Ms. Armenta was born on Dec. 24, 1957, in Casa Grande to David and Mary Armenta. She was a devoted homemaker and member of Primera Iglesia Bautista.

She loved Spanish music. Extremely family-oriented, she was a loving, giving and caring mother and grandmother. She was always willing to help anyone in need. Her niece Chelo Armenta of Tucson was her caregiver.

Survivors include two sons, Joe and Freddy Alarcon Jr. of Casa Grande; a brother, Robert Armenta of Casa Grande; three sisters, Yolanda Castro of Oceanside, California, Lisa Armenta of Tucson and Susan Armenta of Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, David Armenta Jr.; and a sister, Raquel Molina.

Private family viewing will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at Primera Iglesia Bautista. The service will follow at 9:30.
