Irene Francisco

AK-CHIN - Irene Francisco, 82, died on Feb. 16, 2018, at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa.

Ms. Francisco was born on Feb. 14, 1936, in Ak-Chin to Enos and Charosa (Marie) Lopez. She was known for her embroidery and quilting and enjoyed putting puzzles together and coloring.

Survivors include four daughters, Glenna R. Francisco of Ak-Chin, Charlene Jose of Kaka Village, Alexine Francisco of Casa Grande and Laverne Francisco of Kaka; a brother, Clifford Lopez of Kaka; a sister, Rita Mae Lopez; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jackson Francisco, and two daughters, Clarina and Beatrice Francisco.

Wake from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, at the Francisco home in Ak-Chin and continuing after 8 p.m. with all-night services at the Francisco home in Kaka. Funeral Mass and burial beginning at 6 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, in Kaka Cemetery.
