Iris Verna Ruth Younger

Iris Verna Ruth Younger, 87, of Monroe, Wash., and a winter visitor to Casa Grande, died on March 5, 2010 at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
The celebration of life will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at Fiesta Grande RV Resort ballroom. Burial will be in Tahoma National Cemetery in King County, Wash.
Mrs. Younger was born on April 18, 1922 in Canada and was a daughter of Allen and Ruth Evans. She served in the Coast Guard during World War II. She was a self-employed insurance agent before retirement. She was devoted to her family and a good golfer.
Survivors include two daughters, Eagle Song of Monroe and Patricia A. Klapperich of Graham, Wash.; two sons, Charles A. Younger of Monroe and Robert D. Younger of Seattle; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H.; two brothers, Fred and Laurie Evans; and a sister, Virla Flanagan.
