Irma Violeta Malvido, born on January 23,1950, in Ajo, Arizona, passed away peacefully at her home on October 2, 2024, in her hometown, Ajo. She was a cherished member of her community and a beloved matriarch to her family, whose lives she touched with love and kindness.
Irma was a proud attendee of the Ajo Church of God, where her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She found immense joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, pouring her heart into every meal she prepared for family gatherings and celebrations. Her cooking brought loved ones together, embodying her nurturing spirit and the strong bonds she fostered throughout her life.
Irma is survived by her loving son, Angel Malvido of Florence, Arizona; her devoted daughter, Iris Malvido of Ajo, Arizona; her brothers, Manuel Malvido of San Diego, California, and Luis Malvido of Ajo, Arizona; her sister, Maria Flores of Ajo, Arizona; along with her nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory forward.
She was preceded in death by her father, Luis Malvido; her mother, Francisca Malvido; and her brother, Guillermo Malvido. Their spirits undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 19, 2024, at the Church of God in Ajo, Arizona, from 1:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to come together to honor and remember Irma, reflecting on the many moments of joy she brought into their lives. Her legacy of love, faith, and family will remain a guiding light to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
