COOLIDGE - Jacob Wayne Ballard, 37, lost a heroic 11-month battle with cancer on Feb. 19, 2016.
Mr. Ballard was born on March 9, 1978, in Honolulu, where he lived for three years. He and his family moved to Arizona, and he was raised in Coolidge. He moved to Mesa, where he became a regional supervisor for Sunrise Management. He received many awards and mentored several young men along the way.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, his beloved bulldog Snookie and spent many weekends outdoors. He loved to camp and enjoyed off-road rock crawling. He loved to ride his Harley-Davidson and had the philosophy "the wind is my therapy." He was devoted to his family.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; two daughters, Hali and Payton; three stepchildren, Heather, Heidi and David; his father, Tom Ballard; his mother and stepfather, Johnna and Jon Thompson; a brother, Jarrod; two stepsiblings, Joe and Pam Thompson; and five grandchildren.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Coolidge.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
