Jacquelyn Rosalie “Jackie” Nations, 72, of Casa Grande died peacefully on March 23, 2010 at Hospice Family Care, surrounded by family.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The funeral will follow at 2, with Pastor Scott Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Nations was born on Aug. 15, 1937 in New Orleans, a daughter of Roy and Maira Miller. She was raised in Louisiana. At age 18 she met the love of her life, Harry Nations, and married him on Jan. 21, 1956. They moved to New Mexico, where he was stationed in the military. They later were stationed in various states and France. She was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children.
They settled in Ruch, Ore., from 1976 until the children finished school. They moved to Sedro-Woolley, Wash., where they treasured times with their family. They discovered a winter retreat in Casa Grande, eventually moving permanently, and met many friends. She was active in many churches over the years. Her faith in the Lord shaped her life. She also enjoyed beading, jewelry making, gospel music, crossword puzzles, travel and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Harry Jr. and Mike of Tucson; a daughter, Denise Nations of Casa Grande; a brother, Roy P. Miller Jr. of Carlsbad, Calif.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
