James "Bud" Arnold Lambeth, 70, of Casa Grande died July 30, 2009 at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
His life will be celebrated at 5 p.m. Tuesday at First Assembly of God Church.
Mr. Lambeth was born in Lewisville, Ark., a son of Hugh and Pauline Lambeth. He graduated from Casa Grande High School and Arizona State University, where he played football and basketball. He coached at Tempe High School and Casa Grande Union High School from 1963 to 1979. He owned and operated Growers AG Inc. in Casa Grande from 1979 to 1997 and was president of the Pinal County United Way and the Santa Cruz Sheriff Posse. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed cooking and barbecues. He loved his family, friends and animals.
He is survived by his wife, Danna; four sons, Brad of Gilbert, Keith of Scottsdale, Byron of Phoenix and Kevin Pate of Casa Grande; two daughters, Kelsie Pate of Casa Grande and Kimberly Leavitt of Chandler; his mother, Pauline of Casa Grande; one sister, Lena Raney of Tucson; and 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh, and one brother, Clay.
Donations may be made to the American Heart Association and Pinal County United Way in his memory.
