ARIZONA CITY - James Dale "J.D." Pearce, 80, of Arizona City died March 31, 2009 at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa.
The celebration of life will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande.
Mr. Pearce was born Sept. 25, 1928 in Hydro, Okla., and was a son of Ted Pearce and Katherine Clark. He was a farmer. He formerly was a member of the Jaycees in Eloy and was a longtime member of the Santa Cruz Valley Sheriff's Posse. He enjoyed farming, horses, fishing, bowling and, most of all, being with his family.
Survivors include his wife, June; a daughter, Mona M. Hughes of Arizona City; a son, Ted Pearce of Payson; a sister, June Bradley of Redding, Calif.; two brothers, Donald Pearce of Maricopa and Dan Pearce of Fresno, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Pearce, and a sister, Joy Pearce.
