James David Brimer, 79, passed away August 3, 2020 at his home in Eloy, AZ. He was born on December 22, 1940 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Ernest and Eula (Ogden) Brimer. He served in the United States Navy for over 10 years. In 1965, James married Bobby McKaskle in Tioga, Louisiana. Together they made Arizona their home for the last 44 years, after moving here from San Francisco, California.
James worked for many years as a truck driver for Safeway. He found great joy in vintage cars, horses, and photography. He attended Living Waters Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, David Brimer. James was survived by his wife of 55 years, Bobby Brimer of Eloy; his son, Gregory Brimer of Spokane, Washington; his sisters, Mary Brimer Cole and Shirley Brimer of Tioga, Louisiana; his brother, Jerry Tate of Hermit, Texas; four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; and many dear friends from his church. A memorial service is being planned.
