CASA GRANDE - James Jackson Jr., 75, of Casa Grande died on Feb. 18, 2019, of complications from pneumonia.
Mr. Jackson was born on July 9, 1943, in Crockett, Texas, and was a son of James Jackson Sr. and Ola Mae Scurlock. He served in the Army and was honorably discharged.
He lived in the area since the 1950s and was a landscape artist and earlier a bus driver. He was Baptist.
Survivors include two sons, James and Bryan Jackson of Casa Grande; four daughters, Maisha and Melissa Lamptey, Ebony and Denea Jackson, all of Casa Grande; a sister, Ola Faye Scurlock of Casa Grande; a brother, Michael Scurlock of Casa Grande; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, at Fountains of Living Water Church in Casa Grande, with the Rev. Dr. Alfred Craig officiating. Burial in Mountain View Cemetery.
