CASA GRANDE - James Lee Lewis, 89, of Casa Grande died on Dec. 10, 2017, at home.
Mr. Lewis was born on May 15, 1928, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, to James and Florence (Masteller) Lewis. He served in the Navy from 1948 until 1952.
He was an elementary school teacher and librarian in Minnesota before retirement. He and his wife moved to Casa Grande in 2003 and lived in Fiesta Grande RV Resort for 14 years. They celebrated their 45th year of marriage.
In addition to his wife, survivors include four daughters and a son, Tamara Lewis of Corvallis, Montana; Cheri Gulden of Chaska, Minnesota; Russell Lewis of Wolf Creek, Montana; Sara Gurrola of Farmington, New Mexico; and Stephanie Perkins of Edmond, Oklahoma; and a sister, Edna Lindgren of Elk River, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Avis Gunderson, Mary Grace Lewis and Mildred Schnorr.
Celebration of life at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, at Fiesta Grande RV Resort clubhouse.
