James Lewis,

James Lewis Jr., 45, died Dec. 1, 2008.


The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church of Casa Grande, with the Rev. Prezel McCullough officiating.

Mr. Lewis was born in Phoenix and moved to California in 1967. He was an honor student and graduated from Gardena High School in 1979. He dedicated his life to the Lord at an early age and was a choir member at Heavenly Tabernacle. He was hardworking and worked at Lou Register Furniture in Phoenix, Ellis Maintenance, Pepperdine University, Santa Fe Railway and the U.S. Postal Service.

Survivors include three sons, James Jr., Juwan and Jamon; his mother, Juanita Wilson of Carson, Calif.; two sisters, Victoria Johnson of Carson and Sophia Harris of Los Angeles; and five other siblings on his father's side.
