James Mckenzie Welsh

ELOY - James McKenzie Welsh, 88, died on Sept. 14, 2018, at his home in Eloy.

Mr. Welsh was born to William and Margaret Welsh on May 17, 1930, in Detroit. He lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas, for 19 years before moving to Arizona, where he lived for six years. He married Dorothea "Dottie" on June 23, 1979. He was a toolmaker and infrared diagnostics technician for General Motors for 30 years.

He enjoyed woodworking. He had a great and witty sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He was very kind and gentle and was a man of commitment to God and family.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Linda Gayer of Eloy, Debbie Johnson of Wonder Lake, Illinois, Sue Coral of Jasper, Alabama, and Dawn Welsh of Howell, Michigan; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two siblings.

Funeral at 11 a.m. on Oct. 3 at Casa Grande Assembly of God.
