STOTONIC — James Dean Osife, 42, died on Feb. 17, 2012, at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Upper Santan Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Aaron Johns officiating. Burial will be in Upper Santan Cemetery.
Mr. Osife was born on May 12, 1969, in Sacaton. He was a construction worker and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed playing sports, including football, basketball, wrestling, track and baseball. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed his pet cats and eating tacos.
Survivors include his wife, Lavell Rhodes; two sons, James Sam of Mesa and Matthew Osife of Tempe; a daughter, Jacqulyn Osife of Sacaton Flats; his mother, Sarah Osife of Sacaton; a brother, John Osife of Stotonic; a sister, Connie Miguel of Stotonic; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Osife, and a brother, Melvin Osife.
