James Ralston Bowen

CASA GRANDE - James Ralston Bowen, 77, of Casa Grande died on Jan. 29, 2017.

Mr. Bowen was born on July 11, 1939, in San Francisco to Olive Spohn and James Bowen Sr. He was married to his wife, Ellie, for 58 years after knowing her for six weeks. Retired after 20 years in the Coast Guard, he enjoyed spending time with his family and having a cup of coffee at Starbucks. He enjoyed travel and collecting penguin items.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Rieve of Casa Grande, Karyn Lathan of Chandler and Hiroko Flores of Gilbert, and a son, Gary Bowen of Mesa.
