James Robert Burns

ARIZONA CITY - James Robert Burns, 74, of Arizona City died on July 3, 2015, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.

Mr. Burns was born on March 2, 1941, in Olmsted, Illinois, and was a son of Riley R. Burns and Alice P. Eastwood. He was a heavy equipment operator and enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and travel, especially visiting ghost towns. Known as a "straight shooter," he loved spending time with his family and had a special spot in his heart for his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Nancy Jo; a daughter, Kristi L. Judd of Palm Harbor, Florida; a son, Kevin M. Burns of Arizona City; a sister, Carol Kilgore of Shelbyville, Tennessee; six brothers, Roy Burns of Portland, Oregon, Gary Burns of Pocatello, Idaho, Ted Burns of Casa Grande, Todd Burns of Galion, Ohio, Rick Burns of Georgia and Steve Burns of Terre Haute, Indiana; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
