James Wilburn Hipps

STANFIELD - James Wilburn Hipps Jr., 61, of Stanfield died on March 25, 2020.

Mr. Hipps was born on Dec. 13, 1958, in Casa Grande to James Hipps Sr. and Wanda Winnett. Often called Jimmy, Lil Jim or Jimbo, he worked for 41 years as a cotton ginner, one of his true passions. He also loved fishing, playing guitar, the races and family holidays.

He had an infectious smile and always made people laugh.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie; his parents, Wanda and Jewel Sanders and James Hipps Sr.; five grown children, Crystal Lacy, Samantha Valderrama, April Hipps, Terry Churchwell and Breeann Churchwell; five siblings, Linda Jones, Cindy Umdenstock, Patti Santee, Diana Hussak and Brian Hipps; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Teara Churchwell; a brother, Daryl Sanders; and grandparents, Bufford and Marie Winnett, Joseph and Linda Sanders.
