Janice Sue Ronquillo, 65, of Casa Grande died on Feb. 14, 2015, at home.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ. The funeral will follow at 11, with Jerry Odom officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Ms. Ronquillo was born on July 23, 1949, in Stockton, California, and was a daughter of Douglas "Dude" and Marjorie (Witten) Zimmerman. A 1967 graduate of Casa Grande Union High School and cheerleader, she was very supportive of her brothers as they played sports. She worked as a medical receptionist. She had a great sense of humor to go with her awesome laugh and loved to dance the jitterbug.
She had a big heart but was very strict, and her younger brothers knew her as "the enforcer." She knew many people in Casa Grande and also the city’s history. Her favorite TV shows were "The Brady Bunch," "The Andy Griffith Show" and "Dancing with the Stars," and her favorite movie was "To Kill a Mockingbird." She was very supportive of her family and many friends.
Survivors include her companion, David "Yogi" Armenta; four sons, Raul Ronquillo Jr. of Bakersfield, California, Ruben Ronquillo of Florence, Marcos Ronquillo of Denver and Derek B. Ronquillo of Casa Grande; two daughters, Virna Odiaga of Bakersfield and Rochelle Ronquillo of Casa Grande; four brothers, Jerry Zimmerman of Lake Havasu City, Dennis, Duane and Jeff Zimmerman, all of Casa Grande; a sister, Kaye Braunbeck of Casa Grande; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raul Ronquillo; a sister, Lynda Hite; and a brother, Bobby Zimmerman.
