Javier Garibay Ochoa, Sr.

Javier Garibay Ochoa Sr., 72, of Sacaton died on June 9, 2022.

Mr. Ochoa was born in Tecomatan, Michoacan, Mexico, on July 11, 1949, to Manuel Ochoa and Guadalupe Garibay. He lived on the Gila River Indian Community for many years with his family. He was a strong, loving, kindhearted man with a willingness to give. Prior to retirement he was a farmer and loved to work rain or shine. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and go for walks and looked forward to family bingo gatherings. His heart was complete with his wife, kids and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Germaine; four adult children, Lupe, Javier Jr. and Alicia Ochoa and Helena Murillo; two siblings, Jorge and Estela Ochoa; and 16 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carla Ochoa, and three siblings, Roberto, Daniel and Manuel Ochoa.

Wake beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 17, at the family home, 2462 Agi Drive, Lot 7 in Sacaton. Funeral Mass celebrated at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Bapchule. Burial in Stotonic Cemetery.
