COOLIDGE - J.D. Moore, 77, of Coolidge died on Jan. 10, 2014.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Indian Assembly of God. The funeral will follow at noon, with Pastor John Davis officiating.

Mr. Moore was born on July 12, 1936, in Greenville, Texas. He was a farmworker and worked hard. He loved music, especially the blues. He was very friendly and loved pretty women. He dressed well and loved his boots and hats.

He had a big heart and was a great family man who adored his wife, children and grandchildren. He spent much of his life raising children and was fair but strict. Never one to turn someone away, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and neighbors. His hobbies included hunting and fishing.

Survivors include three sons, J.D. Moore Jr. of Grand Rapids, Mich., Sammy Moore Sr. of Mesa and David Moore of Grand Rapids; 40 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Aline, in 2007; three sons, Timmy, Daniel and Danny Moore; a daughter, Patricia Moore; two brothers, Clyde Parker and Curtis Smith; and a sister, Margeurite Moore.
