Jean Awrey

MARICOPA — Jean Awrey, 77, of Maricopa died on Feb. 11, 2013, at home.
A private service was planned.
Mrs. Awrey was born on March 19, 1935, in Manila, Ark., and was a daughter of Pete Thornton and Lillie Ford. She graduated from nursing school in 1975 and became a private care nurse. She also was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, crocheting, needlework, painting and pets. She was good at arts and crafts, and her hobbies were fishing and hunting.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence; two daughters, Nina Leland of Maricopa and Lily Morgan of Woodland Park, Colo.; a brother, James Thornton of California; and four grandchildren.
