Jeffery Earl Twiggs

May 12, 1956 — June 10, 2024

Florence

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jeffery Earl Twiggs, age 68, of Florence, who departed on June 10, 2024. Born in La Jolla, California, on May 12, 1956, Jeffery's life was a profound testament to love and compassion.

Jeffery's legacy shines brightly through his unwavering dedication to nurturing and supporting 27 teenage foster care sons. His selflessness and kindness knew no bounds - he was a beacon of generosity and care for those around him. Despite his innate shyness, Jeffery's warm heart touched the lives of many as a cherished friend and neighbor.

Blessed with a dry sense of humor, Jeffery found joy in laughter and had a knack for bringing smiles to others' faces. A financial planner by profession, he also reveled in his passion for sports. His love for angling led him to every lake in Arizona, while his adventurous spirit saw him explore each town and city throughout the state.

Jeffery's deep affection for the water was undeniable; one could easily imagine him spending eternity on a balcony cruise ship if given the chance. His zest for life resonated with all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jeffery is survived by his devoted wife, Cheryl Twiggs; his son Thomas Jeffery Twiggs; as well as a brother and sister. He is now reunited in peace with his parents, Calvin and Jean Twiggs, and brother Vance Twiggs.

May Jeffery's enduring love, laughter, and kindness continue to illuminate the hearts of those he leaves behind. Rest in peace.

In lieu of flowers, should you choose to do so, please donate to a charity very close to Jeff's heart. They have been serving the Tucson area since 1996.

Hope of Glory is an all-volunteer, faith-based non-profit organization. They are dedicated to helping the homeless and needy men, women and children of Pima County, Az. Since COVID there are growing numbers of homeless camps in Tucson and the surrounding area. Hope of Glory volunteers serve these groups by bringing them food, hygiene and TLC twice monthly. A significant number of those served by Hope of Glory are our own veterans.

Their future vision is to establish an emergency shelter facility to house and restore men, women and children (families in-tact) with on-site services.

Please consider assisting this very worthwhile organization. On behalf of the Twiggs family, we thank you for your consideration. https://www.tucsonhope.org
