Jeffrey Michael Burkett

Jeffrey Michael Burkett, 42, of Casa Grande died on July 8, 2013.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The celebration of life will follow at 7, with Pastor John Esposito officiating.

























































































































































Mr. Burkett was born on Sept. 1, 1970, in Warren, Ohio. He was a 1988 graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School, received a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from Kent State University and did graduate work in public administration at Youngstown State University.


He worked in corrections until becoming disabled with multiple sclerosis. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed coaching youth baseball and football in Champion, Ohio, and Casa Grande.


Survivors include his wife of nearly 15 years, Kathleen Downs-Burkett; a son, Chase Burkett of Casa Grande; two daughters, Kellee Kramer of Ohio and Chloe Burkett of Casa Grande; a stepdaughter, Alison Delli-Gatti of Tempe; his father and stepmother, Charles and Patricia Burkett of Bristolville, Ohio; his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Al Mathews of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a sister, Debra of Jacksonville.
