Jennifer Aline "Jen" Dixon

PHOENIX - Jennifer Aline "Jen" Dixon, 31, of Phoenix died on May 26, 2016.

Ms. Dixon was born on Sept. 3, 1984, in Florence. She loved her family, especially her two children. She enjoyed spending time with her mom and sister at Goodwill shopping, taking her kids to Peter Piper Pizza, playing bingo, singing karaoke and having breakfast at her favorite place, Ole Brass Rail. She enjoyed her pets, Oliva and Tiger.

She struggled with mental illness and addiction but had worked hard to overcome those obstacles, had been sober for three years and was working toward becoming a peer counselor.

She is survived by her pride and joy, son Graccion Bermudez and daughter Havanna Acevedo; her mother and stepfather, Viola (Smith) Wallace and Sean Wallace; her father, Jimmy "Corky" Dixon; two sisters and a brother, Heather Dixon, Jeff Dixon and Amanda Burke; and grandparents, Georgia Hall and Linda and Robert Hickey. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, R.S. Smith and Jimmy Don Dixon.

A celebration of life is being planned for June 18. Contact the family for information.
