CASA GRANDE - Jerry Webster Gerrish, 81, of Casa Grande died peacefully amidst a faithful gathering of his family on Dec. 1, 2016.
Mr. Gerrish was born on Sept. 13, 1935, in Phoenix and was a son of Claude and Blanche Gerrish. He was raised in Illinois and played basketball at Patoka High School. He studied marketing at the University of Arizona and began a long and distinguished career as a jeweler with his father, Claude. Their first jewelry store, Gerrish & Sons Jewelers, opened in the early 1960s in downtown Tucson.
He moved to downtown Casa Grande upon the early death of his father in the early 1970s. He served the community for 40 years with Gerrish & Sons and Eden Jewelers. He was a member of Elks and an avid golfer while keeping his attention focused on business, family and the welfare of his community.
He was preceded in death by his youngest brother, Lynn, and is survived by three brothers, his twin Jack, Ronald and Alan; four sons, Andrew, Mark, Aric and Joseph; a daughter, Teresa Morris; 14 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Per Mr. Gerrish’s wish, no service will be held.
