Jessy Daniel Stokes

MARICOPA - Jessy Daniel Stokes, 82, of Maricopa died on May 13, 2017, at Hospice of the Valley Dobson Home in Chandler.

Mr. Stokes was born on Sept. 7, 1934, in Phoenix to Norman R. and Chloe M. (Ellis) Stokes. He served in the Army and had a career in law enforcement in Arizona. He was a member of the 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team and was devoted to his family.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Wilma F.; two daughters, Tammy Marmillion of Texas and Tacey Stokes of Arizona; and two brothers, Jerry Whitener of Phoenix and Glenn Whitener of Tucumcari, New Mexico.

Committal service at 11 a.m. Friday, May 26, in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road in Phoenix.
