Jesus Javier Castellanos, 66, of Casa Grande died Jan. 7, 2013, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited there at 10 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Casa Grande Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Castellanos was born June 13, 1946, in McAllen, Texas. He was married to his wife, Adelina, for 47 years and was a heavy equipment operator in farming. He liked to plant trees and raise cows and goats. He was funny and loved to sing, draw, paint and watch old western movies. He enjoyed going to casinos and spending time with family. He loved family gatherings and seeing everyone together. He was humble and a hard worker, but he was not shy and would talk to everyone. He never wanted to rest and woke up at 3 a.m. every day.
He is survived by Adelina; his father, Juan Castellanos of Elsa, Texas; one son, Jesus Javier Jr. of Casa Grande; six daughters, Consuelo Correa of Casa Grande, Corinna Rodriguez of Tucson, Cassandra Ramirez of Casa Grande, Christella Castellanos of San Francisco, Roxanna Bandin of Maricopa and Jessica Castellanos of Maricopa; four brothers; four sisters; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and his mother, Guadalupe.
