Casa Grande resident, Jesus Enrique Haro
passed away on Wednesday March 15, 2017
in Casa Grande, Arizona. He was 56 years
old and died from a year-long battle with
brain cancer.
Jesus was born on November 24, 1960 in
Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico to Antonio R.
and Emilia M. Haro.
Jesus enjoyed a twenty-five year law
enforcement career in various positions with
the Eloy Police Department and the Mesa
Police Department. He served as a sergeant,
a detective, a rescue certified scuba diver, a school resource, a bicycle and
a patrol officer. During his time, Jesus received many commendations for
his faithful service to the community. Jesus earned his B.A. from Northern
Arizona University and following his retirement, he returned to the City
of Mesa Police Department, as an IT networking engineer technician and
administrator.
Some of Jesus’s passions were his love of cars and motorcycles, especially
his ’Jet Blue’ Corvette and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was an avid
ASU football supporter and a Cardinal fan. He loved to vacation and travel
to new places.
Jesus had a great sense of humor and a positive attitude that will be dearly
missed. He dearly loved his family and friends and was a brave and true
hero to all. He enjoyed his dogs, dachshunds "Harley’ and "Davidson’ and
chihuahua "Bella’.
Jesus is survived by his wife Gayle; son Jesus (Margie) A. Haro; daughters
Jessica (Victor) A. Lopez and daughter-granddaughter Drue D. Haro;
stepchildren Mark C. (Roberta) and Erin R. Sullivan. He is also survived by
his grandchildren, Madysen, Elianna and Olivia Haro; Mila, Victor and Kai
Lopez; Conor and Harper Sullivan. His siblings Jorge (Margie) and Antonio
(Emelia) Haro of Casa Grande, Maria delCarmen Astrain (Jose) of Hermosillo,
Sonora; Martha (Greg) Scott and Lupita (Miguel) Morales of Nogales. He
was preceded in death by his parents and brother Francisco Haro.
Recitation of the Rosary will be on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole and Maud, Gardens Chapel. A Memorial
Mass will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony
of Padua Catholic Church in Casa Grande. Burial procession will follow to
Casa Grande Mountain View Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life.
