On February 25, 2018, Jo Anna Biancu Martineau lost her courageous battle with breast cancer. Jo Anna was a very giving and friendly
person. She had such a creative mind and enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, ceramics, pottery and making frameable pictures from puzzles. She loved cooking and taking care of her family. In her professional life, she was a hairdresser and later worked at Form All Plastics. Jo Anna was special to her family and friends and will be missed by all.
Jo Anna lived most of her life in Connecticut but spent the last
three years in Arizona. She loved living in Arizona and enjoyed the
weather, the activities she was able to join and the friends she made there.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Augustine and Anna
(Calandro) Biancur and her two brothers, Frank Biancur, Sr., and
Augustine Biancur, Jr.
She leaves behind her two children, Michele (Doug) Wyatt and
Frank L. (Dawn) Martineau as well as her sister, Angela (Ralph)
Meade. She had three grandsons, Jaime Martineau, Frank Martineau,
Jr., and David Wyatt, whom she loved and cherished with all her
heart.
The family wishes to thank the nurses at Archstone Care Center
in Chandler and the staff at Hospice of the Valley for the care and
concern they provided to Jo Anna in the last days of her life.
Her funeral services will be held at J. Warren Funeral Home,
Florence Boulevard, Casa Grande, AZ at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday,
March 1, 2018, followed by a prayer service at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in
her name to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix,
AZ 85014.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud, The Gardens is
handling arrangements.
