Jo Marie Blunt

Jo Marie (McKinley) Blunt passed away at her home in Eloy, Arizona on May 23, 2016. Jo was born April 27, 1955 in Monte Vista, Colorado to the late William Wainwright and Georgie (Cottrell) McKinley. She was an alumna of Bisbee High School in Bisbee, Arizona and Arizona State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. After graduating from ASU, Jo worked as an accountant for Brewer Accounting and Tribune Newspapers in Mesa, Arizona, and then as controller for Wichita Pennypower News in Wichita, Kansas and Robert M. Sides Family Music Centers in Williamsport, Pennsylvania for whom she continued to work remotely after she and her husband Bryan relocated to Eloy in 2007. Jo was a dedicated sports enthusiast, loving wife, mother and grandmother and an active member and children’s Sunday school teacher at Trinity Southern Baptist Church in Casa Grande, Arizona.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Bryan Thomas Blunt; three sons, Bryan Blunt of Casa Grande, Arizona, Randy Blunt of Mesa, Arizona, Terry Blunt of Olathe, Kansas; two sisters, Amy Sheesley of Washington, D.C., and Michele McKinley of Scottsdale, Arizona; three brothers, Willy McKinley of Las Vegas, Nevada, Tom McKinley of Las Vegas, Nevada, and George McKinley of Tucson, Arizona; and nine grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Benevolence Fund at Trinity Southern Baptist Church, 1100 E. Trinity Place, Casa Grande, Arizona 85122; or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016 at Trinity Southern Baptist Church in Casa Grande.
A celebration of life service will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Phil Calvert officiating.
Interment will follow at the Eloy Memorial Park Cemetery in Eloy, Arizona.
