Joanne Marie Emerson

SANTAN - Joanne Marie Emerson, 53, of Phoenix died on May 6, 2016.

Ms. Emerson was born on June 17, 1962, in Phoenix to Raefield and Tonita Emerson. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, beadwork, silk screening, quilting and cooking. She loved spending time outdoors.

Survivors include her mother, of Phoenix; four brothers, Robert Emerson of Stotonic, Raefield Emerson Jr. of Phoenix, Raymond Emerson of Phoenix and Leland Sunna of Santa Cruz Village; and two sisters, Diane Valdez of Phoenix and Danita Moffett of Casa Blanca. She was preceded in death by her father and grandmother, Josephine Yesk.

The celebration of life will begin at 9 a.m. today at the District 4 Service Center, with the Rev. Lee Miguel officiating.
