Joe Ruben Velasco

SACATON FLATS - Joe Ruben Velasco, 31, died April 6, 2007 at Tucson Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the District 2 Service Center. The funeral will be at 7 a.m. Saturday at Sacaton Flats Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. John Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Sacaton Flats Presbyterian Cemetery.

Mr. Velasco was born Oct. 1, 1975 in Phoenix. He gradated in 1994 from Casa Grande Union High School, where he played football. He operated heavy equipment for Select Build since 2000. He was a member of Sacaton Flats Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his fiancee, Shannon Lewis of Sacaton Flats; a daughter, Brittnee Velasco of Eloy; a son, Dominic Velasco of Eloy; his parents, Joe and Joella Velasco of Sacaton Flats; two sisters, Valerie Fagerberg of Casa Grande and Robbi Potts of Tucson; and a brother, Danny Quimouyousie of Hotevilla.
