Joey Ruiz Montijo, infant son of Joe Montijo Jr. and Tiffany Carpenter of Casa Grande, was born and died on Jan. 23, 2014, at Chandler Regional Medical Center.

A private service was planned.

Other survivors include six brothers, Jose Montijo III, Joe Montijo Jr., Manuel, Mario, Domingo and Aiden Montijo, all of Casa Grande; six sisters, Sally and Adrianna Montijo of Casa Grande, Alexis Ramirez and Lucy Montijo of Eloy, Adella Lucero of Casa Grande and Joann Montijo of Reno, Nev.; and grandparents, Adella Garcia of Eloy, Kitty Martin of Phoenix and Danny Carpenter of Perry County, Ill. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Joe Montijo Sr.
