John G. Kendrick, 83, of Casa Grande died March 10, 2009 at Southern Arizona VA Health Care in Tucson.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel. The funeral there will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, with Chaplain Steve Horlacher officiating. Burial will be in Coolidge Valley Memorial Park.
Mr. Kendrick was born Sept. 13, 1925 in Craig, Colo. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He worked as a mechanic. He was an avid fisherman and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Norma; two daughters Sharon L. Holmes and Wanda K. Reilly of Casa Grande; a son, John R. Kendrick of Arizona City; two sisters, Hazel Snodgrass of Coolidge and Helen Meeks of Madera, Calif.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Billy Kendrick, and a sister, Dorothy Kendrick.
