John Harold Bothof

ARIZONA CITY - John Harold Bothof, 86, died on Dec. 4, 2018.

Mr. Bothof was born on Feb. 8, 1932, to Gerrit and Johanna Bothof in Boyden, Iowa. He was a registered nurse for 50 years and also a teacher. He enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his companion, Kevin Brown; two sons, Dale and Steven Bothof of Arizona City; six siblings, Willard Bothof of Tolleson, David Bothof of Elgin, Illinois, Bert Thompson of Long Beach, California, Hattie J. McCann of Paynesville, Minnesota, Connie Thomas of Phoenix and Donna Hertzberg of Annandale, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and Marion Bothof, and a sister, Albertha Bothof.
