John Joseph Twarog

John J. Twarog, age 83, of Maricopa, AZ, after a brief battle against cancer, entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 11, 2023. He was the devoted husband of 53 years to Dorothy (Mozdzierz) Twarog.

He was born in Bridgeport, CT on March 2, 1940, the son of the late John and Laura (Marczyk) Twarog.

John graduated from Trine (Tri State) University of Indiana in 1960.

He worked as an Aeronautical Engineer and Manager for Textron Lycoming and Honeywell. John was Vice President of Engineering of SSE Engineering of Phoenix, AZ. For over 50 years he played the bass and sang in his family band, “The Twarog Brothers”.

He is the beloved father of Dave Twarog and his wife Mary, and daughter Janice Taylor and her late husband, Timothy Taylor, the grandfather of Matthew Twarog, Anna Taylor and Elizabeth Roemmele. He is also survived by his brother Joseph Twarog and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his sister, Veronica Soloman and his brother Edward Twarog.

A Christian Mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace Church, 18700 N. Saint Gabriel Way, Maricopa, AZ on April 5, 2023 at 10:30 am.
