John Kmetz Jr.

John Francis Kmetz Jr., 60, of Valley Farms died July 24, 2023. He was born November 30, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan to John Sr. and Rosaria Kmetz.

John was known as a jack of all trades and was always available to help anyone. He enjoyed going to Box Canyon and riding his quads in the dunes with friends. He liked to fish but didn’t like to eat it. He loved his dog “Francy” and even though he was a rough and tough guy, he never met a cat that didn't want to cuddle up in his beard. He was a true animal lover and they loved him.

He is survived by his wife Terry of 30 years, a daughter, Heidi Oldham, his brother and sister, Thomas Kmetz and Linda Kmetz-Niles, 3 grandchildren and his 2 nephews, whom he loved the most.  

He is preceded in death by his parents.
