PHOENIX - John Lee Geary, 73, of Phoenix died on Sept. 1, 2016, at home.
Mr. Geary was born on Feb. 6, 1943, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, to John and Annabell (Abbott) Geary. He was an accomplished musician and was well known in the community. He worked at Titleist Golf Clubs for 18 years.
He was devoted to his family and could do about anything that he put his mind to. His blindness never held him back from anything. He attended the Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind, where his passion for music began. He played music around the United States. He ran a recording studio and produced his own magazine called "Music Country USA."
Survivors include his wife, Betty; a sister, Martha Gilkey; two sons, John L. and Mitchell L.M. Geary; a daughter, Maryann E. Osburn-Bowen; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, Bobby W., Lonnie M., William T. and Mary Lou Geary, Ruby N. Hermosilo and Charles R. Geary.
