COOLIDGE - Johnny M. Sesma, 77, of Chandler died on March 14, 2014, in Mesa.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. next Tuesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel. The funeral will follow at 11, with Chaplain Steve Tregloan officiating. Burial will be in Heritage Valley Memorial Park.
Mr. Sesma was born on June 24, 1936, in Nogales, Ariz., and was a son of Francisco and Magdalena Sesma. He served in the military and later was a miner. He married Blanca Martinez in 1958, and they lived in Coolidge before moving to Chandler in 1977.
He could be a little stubborn at times but always had love for his family. He loved to laugh and joke and was known for his sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Hilda Garcia of Corcoran, Calif., and Ana Coronado of Chandler; four sons, Johnny Sesma Jr. of Coolidge, Eddie Sesma of Chandler, Mike Sesma of Coolidge and Gilbert Sesma of Chandler; a sister, Helen Powers of Phoenix; a brother, Frank Sesma of Phoenix; 25 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Angie "Cha-Cha" Rios, and a brother, Richard Sesma Sr.
