Johnny Mendez Ortega

HICKIWAN VILLAGE - Johnny Mendez Ortega, 78, of Hickiwan died on Jan. 25, 2020, at Archie Hendricks Sr. Skilled Nursing Facility in Sells.

Mr. Ortega was born on June 23, 1941, in Charco 27 Village to Santos and Alvina Ortega. He was devoted to his family and was a hard worker.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia; four adult children, Leonard, Grace, Jonathan and Renilda; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three siblings, Aurelia Jones, Jimmy and Max Ortega.

All-night wake on Sunday, Feb. 2, in Hickiwan Village. Funeral Mass celebrated at 7 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 3. Burial in Stuha Bidag Cemetery.
